Museo Picasso
Given that Picasso was born in Málaga, the city has a fabulous collection of his work as a sort of homage to the artist. In fact, the government of Andalucía invested 66 million euros in the restoration of the 16th-century Palacio de los Condes de Buenavista to house the works of art, and the results of the museum are absolutely spectacular. It has an enviable assortment of 204 works, 155 donated, and 49 loaned to the museum by Christine Ruiz-Picasso (wife of Paul, Picasso’s eldest son) and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso (his grandson).
