Catedral de Sevilla
The Sunday before Madre, Janet, and Eddie left for the United States, we took them to the Cathedral, as no visit to Seville would have been complete without it. As the third largest in the world, the Cathedral of Sevilla is 126m long and 83m wide. It stands on the site of the great 12th-century Almohad mosque, with the mosque’s minaret still standing right beside it, the Giralda. Its Gothic vaulting and rich stained glass in particular were something to admire.
