The next day we decided to go back to the Catedral Nueva to see it under the morning light against a heavy Salamancan fog. Before making our way inside, we stopped to admire the architecture one last time. The Puerta del Nacimiento on the western side of the structure is an elaborate Renaissance doorway worked in a sandstone façade.
