The Capilla Mayor of the Catedral Vieja was assembled from many intricately carved pieces and is one of the finest Renaissance altarpieces located beyond the shores of Italy. It is adorned with an impressive 15th-century altarpiece with 53 panels depicting scenes from the life of Christ and Mary; topping the ensemble off is an image representing the Final Judgement.
