Our walk through the Carballeira de Santa Susana was particularly interesting for me because of the representations of literary figures from Galicia that are scattered throughout the park. At the entrance, I found a statue of contemporary Spanish playwright Valle Inclán seated on a bench.
Later, there was a large statue in honor of Rosalía de Castro, the Galician poet pertaining to the literary movement of Romanticism who wrote about her homeland in her poems, as is evident by the collection Cantares gallegos.
