After we finished at the Fortaleza da Ponta da Bandeira, we made our way down to the beach to see for ourselves why the coves and grottoes of the beaches in and around Lagos were on nearly all of the postcards printed for the Algarve region of Portugal. To say that neither one of us had ever seen beaches that were more picture-perfect than these would be an understatement, but so it goes…
