Centro José Guerrero
At the end of the day just before catching the last train back to Sevilla, we went to the Centro José Guerrero, which is an art museum dedicated to the most celebrated artist from Granada, abstract expressionist José Guerrero (1914-91). Although he was born in the city, it was not until the artist was part of New York’s art scene in the 1950s that he became famous. The works of art featured in the museum provided a good example of Guerrero’s dramatic and colorful canvases.
