Fiume Tevere
The Fiume Tevere, the Tiber River in English, runs through the heart of the city, and, as legend has it, Roma was founded in 753 BC along its banks. According to the legend, it is believed to be the river into which the twin brothers Romulus and Remus, the former being accredited with having founded Rome, were thrown as infants to be later saved by a she-wolf.
These pictures were taken along the Ponte (Bridge) Sant'Angelo, which made for a nice spot to take a rest and regroup, with the help of the good ol' Lonely Planet, before heading back to the apartment for dinner.
