Given that the primary tourist attraction in Guadix is its caves, there is also a museum dedicated to cave life, which is appropriately situated inside a cave which once served as a home some 30 years ago.
The typical 21st-century cave has white-washed walls, a chimney and TV aerial sticking out of the top. Without modern amenities, the caves are able to maintain a comfortable temperature of around 18oC (68oF) all year long.
