Halloween 2009: High School Prom Date

As a last minute costume, Brian and I took decided to dress up as a high school prom date. Since he was my date for my Senior prom, it seemed most appropriate to shake off the cobwebs off my old dress and give it another whirl!

Halloween 2009: Pumpkin Carving

Completely spur of the moment, I decided on Halloween afternoon that Brian and I needed a pumpkin. My rationale was that if we didn't have one, then how were the trick-or-treaters going to know that we had candy to give out?

So, I went to Dillon's and picked out a pumpkin that had green spots all over it. I think that no one had brought him before because he was green (i.e. pumpkin racism).

Once I brought it home, Brian humored me and helped carve it. I think that he just wanted to stab the knife in its head a few times....

More Drum Randomness

Being the proud owner of 49 drum shells, Brian's been tinkering with them to make electronic drum kits. Needless to say, there are lots of random drums all over our house....

Fireworks July 4th, 2009

Of course, no July 4th celebration can take place without the presence of fireworks and sparklers!

Lake Marion, SC - July 4th Weekend 2009

For the Fourth of July, Heather and Adam invited Madre, Padre, and I to spend the weekend with them at Lake Marion, which is located just south of Columbia, SC.

Aside from some substantial soreness that resulted from having a death grip on the intertube as it skidded across the lake at warp speed, we were able to return to NC unscathed.
