St. Louis Gateway Arch

After we made it back to the hotel from the City Museum, we headed out to plop a squat under the Gateway Arch for the sunset.

Commonly referred to as the Eiffel Tower of the Great Plains, the Gateway Arch stands 630 feet high and was completed in 1965 to symbolize the historical role that St. Louis played as the "Gateway to the West."
