After Jan, Brian, and I walked around the museum looking at the art inside, we ventured outdoors to check out the shuttlecocks that are scattered across the grounds. It is never a bad day when you are surrounded by shuttlecocks, eh?

Once we arrived to Kansas City, we were ready for the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Since Brian and I had already been there, we both knew that it would be something that Jan would really enjoy!

After we toured the inside of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, we ventured outside to check out the museum's shuttlecock exhibit. I think this was perhaps the highlight of our visit!

Our main goal for the day was to visit the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, which is the local art museum in Kansas City which has quite an extensive collection of European and U.S.-based artists' works. We were very impressed to find that there were so many well-known names represented in the permanent collection. It really is a jewel tucked away out here in the Midwest.
