The last weeks of July and the first week of August is always a scorcher in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Thus, when Grandpa invited us over for a pool day, he didn’t have to twist our arms too hard!Believe it or not, Grandpa actually planted the sunflowers that are growing by the pool from little seeds back in the Spring. They were huge by the time I saw them in July and took these pictures!
