Winter Break @ KU

After we got back from North Carolina, I ventured out to campus to get some work done. Needless to say that with all of the snow on the ground, it was quite an achievement to make it to Wescoe....

First Snow of the Year!

Albeit the winter always brings frigid temperatures, it is hard to complain when there is snow on the ground. These are some of the pictures that I took on campus when it snowed the week after Kenny left for North Carolina.

Ad Astra Archestra - Unionfest 2009

For this year's Unionfest: Seasons of a Jawhawk, i.e. the freshman orientation called Hawk Week, Ad Astra Archestra played in front of the Union at KU. I have to say that my favorite part of the evening was when the Baby Jay came and stole the tambourine....

A última Mesa Brasileira do ano

The last Friday in April was our last Mesa Brasileira for the year. Mesa Brasileira is a conversation table for people who want to practice speaking in Portuguese every Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Henry's on 8th St. downtown.

I made it a point to go every week, and as a result I made some very good friends. I can't wait to see you guys when we get started back up in the fall!
