University College Cork

As I said before, the main reason why we were in Ireland was so that I could participate in a conference that was taking place at University College Cork. The conference was entitled, “The Boom Femenino in Mexico: Reading Contemporary Women’s Writing” and focused on the increase in literary production by female writers of Mexico since 1980.

I cannot begin to thank everyone who participated for the ideas that they shared in their papers as well as the thoughtful questions and comments that you provided me with after my presentation. It was such an enriching experience to meet other people who are just as passionate about women’s writing and Mexico as I am!
